Don't start off on the wrong foot! Visit, call or email our Admissions office to find out the admission/registration steps that are right for you. Every student comes to the college with different backgrounds. Our Admissions Specialists will ask you a few quick questions to see what services are right for you.
Be approved for online registration
Students can now register online, but you have to be approved to do so first. The first step is to meet with a DACC Academic Advisor or Counselor. You can make an appointment by calling (217) 443-8750. During this meeting, the Advisor/Counselor will check to see if you meet the following conditions

Permission to audit a course may be obtained from Division Deans when space is available. The student is expected to attend classes regularly, but will not receive grades, take examinations nor receive credit.

With high enrollments, many of our course sections fill-up quickly. To better serve students when a seat opens up, DACC is now utilizing a waitlist service to meet our students’ needs. If a section is full, students have the opportunity to be “waitlisted” for the specific section. Please note on the Jaguar Spot, the classes that are not eligible for the waitlisting service. The information below explains what happens after you are waitlisted:
What Happens Once You are on a Waitlist?
Once you’ve waitlisted yourself through the registration process (online or with an Admissions Specialist, Advisor or Counselor), you can manage your waitlist through the Jaguar Spot/Online Student Services.
View Your Waitlisted Sections | Step 1: Go to the myDACC/SelfService Step 2: Go to the Student menu Step 3: Select the Manage My Waitlist from the Academic Plan – Registration options. |

Remove Yourself from a Waitlist | Step 1: Go to the Manage My Waitlist area Step 2: Select Remove from the drop-down action box in front of the section waitlist that you want to be removed from. Step 3: Click on SUBMIT. |
Getting a Seat in the Waitlisted Section | Students Approved for Online Registration: Once you are waitlisted, the online services will automatically enroll you in the waitlisted section(s) if a seat opens up in the section requested. An e-mail will be sent to your DACC e-mail account to confirm the registration. Students Who Have Not Been Approved for Online Registration: When a seat opens, the Registration office will contact you by phone or DACC email. You must respond within 3 days or your seat will be given to the next student on the list. Lack of response will also remove your name from the waiting list. |
Important Notes About Waitlists |

Students will be required to access their schedules, grades, and bill statements online through the myDACC. If you receive notification that your waitlisted, if students do not have access to the Internet, computers and printers will be available to use on campus.
