Placement Test

The placement test is offered by appointment only on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:30 am and 1:00 pm. If you are not able to test during these days or times, please contact our office at 217-443-8708 and we will attempt to coordinate a time that works for you. If you wish to test at the Hoopeston site, you need to call and schedule an appointment with the Higher Learning Center at 217-283-4170.

High School Placement

The placement test is to help determine your level of skill in one or more academic areas. The scores you receive will be used to assist in determining the most appropriate courses based on your demonstrated skills. This is not a pass/fail test and is only meant to help you become best prepared for future college level courses.

DACC Course Testing

  • Communicate with your instructor on when he/she wants you to take the test, and then call the Testing Center to schedule your appointment.
  • Follow-up with your instructor to make sure they know when you are taking it, and they can get your test to the Testing Center.
  • Appointments cannot be made on the day you wish to test. You must make appointments at least 1 day in advance.
  • Photo ID is required to test.

Other Institution Proctoring

DACC provides proctoring services for individuals needing an authorized individual to supervise an exam on the behalf of another institution. Please have your institution call (217-443-8708) or email (assess@dacc.edu) our office a request to serve as a proctor, indicating the exact requirements necessary to administer a test. DACC has a $20 proctor fee for 2 hours of testing. You must make an appointment at least 2 days prior to the date you wish to test. We require a photo ID at all times.
