Dear Applicant,

Thank you for your interest in Danville Area Community College's Cancer Registry Management Program.

Danville Area Community College's (DACC) Online Cancer Registry Management Certificate is fully accredited by the National Association of Cancer Registrars (NCRA). The program is designed to provide the educational background needed to work and obtain certification in this growing field. This program is one of very few Cancer Registry programs offered 100% online. ERS generously donated the CRstar Cancer Registry software to the program for students to use during their education. Access to the software in our program provides students with a strong, practical foundation of their real-world impact through access to this cutting edge technology. This fully online 30 semester hour program, which includes a virtual practicum, may be completed in as little as one year, assuming full-time enrollment and the completion of prerequisite requirements. Students completing the program will receive a Certificate in Cancer Registry Management and will be eligible to apply for the Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) * administered by the National Cancer Registrars Association provided they also have an Associate’s Degree. Program is completely online. It is not eligible for Web Registration.

If you have never attended DACC, please go to New Student Application online.

This certificate has a selective enrollment process. Students must have:

  • Completed an Associate’s Degree in any field before program entry.
  • Completed these four prerequisite classes before program entry.

    • HITT 101- Introduction to Health Information Technology
    • BOFF 140- Medical Terminology with a C or higher
