Meet the Director

Burgandy Henderson Nicoson holds a Masters of Arts in Education from Eastern Kentucky University. At EKU Burgandy obtained her degree in the area of communication sciences and disorders and an interdisciplinary autism spectrum disorders certificate. In addition to holding her Illinois state licensure as an SLP, and her certificate of clinical competence from ASHA (American Speech Hearing Association), Burgandy is also a certified assistive technology professional through RESNA (Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America). She is an active member of the Illinois Speech Hearing Association (ISHA) and serves on The Assistants and Supervisors Committee. Burgandy’s professional background and work experience includes public education,  skilled nursing and rehabilitative care, pediatric and adult private practice, and clinical supervision for graduate and undergraduate students in the field of speech-language pathology.

Meet our Faculty:

Staci Wright is an ASHA certified speech language pathologist who earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication and Disorders and Sciences from Eastern Illinois University her Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from Illinois State University. She is an active member of the Illinois Speech Hearing Association (ISHA) and serves on The Assistants and Supervisors Committee and received the American Speech Language Hearing Association’s ACE Award in 2021. Staci has enjoyed working with a variety of different populations throughout her career. She has practiced in a variety of different settings including nursing home rehab, inpatient and outpatient hospital, in-home therapy, clinical supervisor at the university level, and in schools.
