Teaching Philosophy

I believe as an instructor that it's my duty to not only provide content expertise but also create an environment in which students learn how to be effective learners and gain confidence and independence as the course progresses. Students should leave my class understanding how to think like a scientist and how to approach and solve problems which are new to them. Everyone learns in a unique way, so I present information with a variety of instructional methods. Students can expect to work both independently and collaboratively throughout the course.
