I’ve taught many types of people over the years, of all ages, and found that not two learned the same way. Finding the way that each student learns is important, to help me, help the student, achieve their educational goals. Continuing to learn new things keeps your brain working. If you ever stop learning, your brain will stop working. I emphasize to always be open to new ideas and concepts, just because “That’s how we’ve always done it,” doesn’t mean that’s the only way, or the best way, to do it.

Personal Information
I spent 20 years in industry, wearing many hats, from Operator, Technician, Trainer, to Manufacturing Engineer.

Research interests
I am always researching technology in the Manufacturing environment. It seems that there is always a new, or better, or faster way to manufacture products. Workplace Safety is also a field I am very passionate about. In 2005, a coworker died in a machine tool accident. In 2017, a year after starting my teaching career at DACC, I completed training to be an OSHA Authorized Outreach Trainer, so that the college can provide OSHA 10 and 30 Hour Credentials to students, and the community.
