Use of College Property

6025 Use of College Property

College-owned facilities, equipment, vehicles, tools, energy or any other assets or property are for College-related use only. Employees or students are specifically prohibited from using such property for personal use. Property of the College is to be used only for programs and services of the College consistent with its service to the community.

In accordance with Public Act 95-0944, if electronic and information technology equipment employees discover child pornographic information on teh internet or intranet systems, desktop or laptop computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, etc., they are to report the incident to the Director of Human Resources immediately who will in turn report the incident to the appropriate authorities.

This policy does not preclude the use of College equipment by non-profit organizations, as determined by the Director of Administrative Services.

This policy also does not preclude the use of College photocopying and telephone equipment for personal business as long as the established reimbursement rate is paid or the normal check out procedures for the use of library books and materials are followed.
