6023 Paychecks

Except as otherwise provided in the procedure below, paychecks will be issued on the 15th and last day of each month.

Procedure

 Effective July 1, 2016, paychecks will be issued on the 15th and last day of each month.  If any such pay day falls on a weekend or College holiday, then paychecks shall be issued on the last work day preceding such weekend or College holiday.  However, during Christmas break, paychecks issued via direct deposit will be distributed on the last banking business day prior to January 1, and paychecks issued via paper check will be distributed on the first College business day following January 1.

 During fiscal year 2017 (July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017), there will be an exception in that all employees will receive three (3) paychecks in July 2016.  Beginning August 2016 and forward, employees will receive two (2) paychecks per month. 

Paycheck Deductions                                                                                                                The College shall withhold all statutorily required payroll deductions from the employee’s paycheck.  Such deductions shall include, but shall not be limited to, federal, Illinois and reciprocal state income tax, Medicare tax, court ordered garnishments, CIP (College Insurance Program, if applicable) and contributions to the State Universities Retirement System (if applicable).
