1024 Duties and Responsibilities of the Treasurer
The Treasurer, before entering upon his/her duties, shall execute a bond payable to Community College District No. 507, which shall meet the requirements as to amount, nature, and form set forth in Section 103-19 of the Illinois Public Community College Act, as amended, and which has been approved by a majority of the Board. Such bond shall be filed with the State Board, and a copy of the bond shall be filed with the County Clerk of each county in which any part of the Community College District is situated.
The Treasurer to the Board of Trustees shall:
- Receive all tax distributions from the counties of Vermilion, Edgar, Iroquois, Champaign, and Ford.
- Sign all bonds, warrants, and notes issued by the College and receive the proceeds of such issues.
- Assist in the designation of Bank Depositories.
- Disburse funds as authorized by the Board of Trustees and report monthly to the Board of Trustees.
