Whenever a vacancy occurs, the remaining members of the Board shall appoint a successor within sixty (60) days who shall fill the vacancy until the next annual election. An appointee to the Board must meet the same qualifications as elected members of the Board. A vacancy is created upon resignation, removal of residence from District No. 507, or upon the happening of any event which creates a vacancy on a Board of Trustees under the Illinois Public Community College Act.
