Nursing is an ever-changing field, and it is my job to prepare my students to be lifelong learners. I understand the need for flexible teaching techniques based on the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and beliefs that students bring to the classroom. In my classroom I use a variety of techniques such as problem-solving, case studies, and stories of actual clinical events to help students learn to transfer theory into practice. My primary role as an instructor is to create interactions which encourage increased interest, understanding, and critical thinking so students can apply course material to real life situations they may encounter in the future.
