The election of the members of the Board shall be non-partisan and shall be held each odd- numbered year, at the time and in the manner provided in the election law (Chapter 10 ILCS Section 5/1-1 et seq.).

Community college trustees will be elected at the consolidated election on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in April as prescribed in Section 5/2A-1.1 of the election law (Chapter 10 ILCS Section 5/2A-1.1); and the Secretary of the Board of Trustees shall be the local election official as defined in Section 5/1-3(9).
