Presidential Goals
2025-2026 Presidential Goals by Dr. Randall Fletcher
As President, it is my vision that the College will strive toward excellence in all our practices, interactions and daily efforts. At the core of Danville Area Community College there have always been exceptional instructional methods, laying the foundation for student access to learning, educational success and career readiness. Becoming an institution grounded in excellence is a collective effort and involves not only classroom teaching, but extraordinary service to students, sound and efficient fiscal stewardship, and active and healthy communication channels within and outside of the college. We are a ‘Best Practice’ community college, and it is my intention to promote, spotlight and nurture this indelible strength of our beloved college to our internal and external stakeholders over the course of 2025-2026 academic year.
As such, four (4) goals will lead my efforts as president in the coming year:
- Through improved marketing, increased campus events and new modes of information sharing in the district junior and high schools, more students will enroll into career and technical education programs and workforce training this year. To achieve this goal, revisions will be proposed to the College Express program with a restructured focus on the CTE dual credit course and program offerings to district high schools. These academic improvements and program restructuring will result in higher College Express student matriculation rates to DACC after completing the program.
- As president I will create a comprehensive strategic plan in FY 2026. From the completed strategic plan, I can direct my leadership team to begin devising the college’s first enrollment management plan.
- To better understand our students and their respective educational needs, DACC must commit to data stewardship in the daily functions of our offices and departments. With better practices, reinforced accountability and clearer understanding of software systems, the authenticity of institutional data will improve, and student performance indicators can be established and achieved, leading to sustained enrollment growth and heightened outcomes of student success.
- My goal is that our faculty have the resources and continuous training needed to better their pedagogy in our modalities of instructional delivery (face-to-face, online, hybrid and hy-flex). Quality Education is not only a part of our mission, but it is also a guarantee made to students who enroll in our programs.
Presidential Goals were approved by the DACC Board of Trustees at its September 25, 2025 Board meeting
