College Express Course: Graphic Design

The Graphic Design course is offered during morning and afternoon College Express. From pics to poses, from print to presentations students will learn Photoshop, Illustrator to InDesign. Everyone is familiar with the work of graphic designers. Just think of the famous company logos and graphics, such as the one used to represent Nike, the Yellow Pages, and Microsoft. Every time you look at a magazine, brochure, advertisement, calendar, program, you’re looking at the work of graphic designers.

Graphic designers are experts in visual communication. They use colors, photographs, illustrations, font styles, and other graphics to convey a message to tell a story, or create a particular feeling. Graphic designers create identities for products, services, companies, organizations, and the government. Their work can persuade , inform, and entertain the public.

Graphic designers can work for advertising and design firms and large companies. In addition, they can also work on their own as freelancers. Students enrolled in Graphic Design can earn college credit during high school and will take the following classes if they complete both years of the program.

The skills gained in this course prepare students to become professional photographers, illustrators, and graphic designers.
BOFF 219 Digitation Publication Design for Business Fall 2025 3 This course discusses digital publishing techniques and applications. It covers how to create eBooks, digital magazines, and interactive PDF's. Students learn how to become self-publishers by producing eBooks, digital magazines, and digital newspapers while exploring how digital publication helps businesses.
