
The Construction course is offered during afternoon College Express. Students enrolled in the Construction course will learn about advanced and green applications as well as residential and commercial repair, remodeling and construction focusing on exterior as well as interior education. In addition, students will learn about basic and specialized tooling, PPE and safety, basic construction and remodeling skills, repurposing, recycling, and prior disposal of building materials, and learn the concept of sustainability. They will also learn the principle of AC electricity, the techniques utilized in home wiring, and safety requirement involved in residential wiring. Students will receive hands-on practice and should finish the course with the knowledge necessary to safety perform most electrical tasks around the home.
Students enrolled in Construction could earn college credit during high school and will take the following classes if they complete both years of the program.
