My personal motto is: Education Releases Potential. The Mission of the School of Nursing is to provide nursing education in an affordable and accessible manner to all ages of student. Nursing is a Life-Long Learning profession and the future of Nursing is dependent on Knowledge Workers who are equipped to use clinical and critical thinking skills. Potential for personal growth and professional development begins at the foundational level of the Associate Degree Nursing Program. I believe that anyone who challenges themselves to pursue the educational requirements for ADN will be well prepared for entry level professional practice and further degree completion and professional development.
Most candidates for this program are adult learners and I embrace Adult Learning Theory as my leadership style. This means I expect students to be self-motivated and responsible for their own success and achievements. I expect faculty to maintain the high standards of instruction that have given this program the excellent reputation it is known for.
Danville Area Community College associate degree nursing program is dedicated to providing nursing education using a variety of affordable and accessible delivery methods to a diverse population.
