Upon the recommendation of the President, the Board may decide to decrease the number of full-time persons employed by the Board or discontinue or reduce some particular type of teaching or supportive service.
In the event that the Board's decision affects tenured faculty members, the provisions of the Faculty Tenure Policy shall apply (see Policy No. 4045, Reduction in the Number of Full-Time Faculty Members and Academic Support Personnel).
The College shall attempt to accomplish such reduction by not replacing employees who voluntarily resign or retire. In the event such reduction cannot be accomplished through such resignation or retirement, the employer will notify employees at least ten (10) days in advance of such reduction in force.Adopted: 7-28-92
