DACC Softball Camps Sun., December 3, 2017

Love softball? Want to improve your skills? How about learning from the District Champion Lady Jags?! The Danville Area Community College Lady Jaguars are hosting two Softball Skills Camps on Sunday, December 3, 2017.

This will be an all skills camp offered in two sessions. Session 1 will be held 9AM-Noon for grades 1-7 and Session 2 held from 1-4PM for grades 8-12. The camp will be at DACC’s Mary Miller Gym.

Root Cause Analysis Training

Danville Area Community College’s Corporate Education is offering Root Cause Analysis Training on Thurs., Dec. 7 from 8AM-5PM CST. Deadline to register is Dec. 1. The training will be held at DACC’s Bremer Conference Center, Rooms 109 & 110. Registration fee is $275. Morning refreshments and lunch are included.

Powered Industrial Truck Safety Certification Train-The-Trainer Program

Danville Area Community College’s Corporate Education is offering Powered Industrial Truck Safety Certification Train-The-Trainer Program on Wed., Dec. 13 from 8:30AM-5PM CST. Deadline to register is Dec. 6. The training will be held at DACC’s Technology Center, Room 160. Registration fee is $299. Morning refreshments and lunch are included.

Help an adult learn to read

Did you know that one in every five adults has difficulty reading the newspaper, the instructions on a medicine bottle, or a note from their child’s teacher? There are more than  20 million adults in the United States -- hundreds locally – who share this problem. Literacy tutors are needed to assist these adults in improving their reading skills.

DACC IS NOW OFFERING CUSTODIAL TECHNICIAN TRAINING!

Danville Area Community College’s Corporate Education is offering Custodial Technician Training. This course will prepare students to enter the custodial profession. Participants in this class will learn about all aspects of cleaning duties including: general office cleaning, daily restroom cleaning, restroom deep cleaning and restoration, daily hard floor maintenance, carpet care, and preventative maintenance. There will also be a heavy emphasis on the safety aspect for custodians. Tuition assistance and job placement are possible through the American Job Center!

DACC OFFERING NFPA70E ARC FLASH ELECTRICAL SAFETY

Danville Area Community College’s Corporate Education is offering Electrical Safety and 70E Arc Flash Protection training course is designed to save lives, prevent disabling injuries, and prevent damage to plants, building and equipment. This training will include the 2018 NFPA 70E updates to Article 110.1 and Article 130.7.

DACC Corporation Education Beginner MS Access 2016 Training

Danville Area Community College’s Corporate Education is offering Beginner MS Access 2016 Training on Wed., November 15 & Wed., November 22, 2017 from 8AM-Noon both days. The training will be held on the DACC campus in Lincoln Hall, Room 205. Registration fee is $199 which includes workbooks, handouts and flash drives with practice files

Ballroom Dancing Exhibition

Danville Area Community College’s Community Education department is sponsoring a Ballroom Dancing Exhibition on Monday, October 30 from 6PM-8PM at the Danville Village Mall Center Court.

Captain's Three will be performing.

People can come to watch and they can participate as well.

DACC Honor Society Inuducts 22 New Members

DACC’s Pi Omega Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society inducted 22 new members on October 2, 2017 (list attached). Former MLB Catcher Darrin Fletcher, Oakwood, was the keynote speaker.
