The Higher Learning Commission û North Central Association has granted DACC accreditation to offer online degrees and certificates in Accounting; Marketing Mid-Management; Travel and Tourism; and the general transfer degree, Associate of Science and Arts (ASA).
"We're very pleased to receive this accreditation from North Central Association," said Alice Marie Jacobs, President of DACC. "The College currently offers more than 100 courses online, with more being added each semester. With today's busy lifestyle, our students benefit greatly from the ability to complete their education at a time and location that is most convenient for them."
DACC offers online courses in Transfer, Career, and Basic Skills programs. Online courses follow the same calendar as traditional classes. All that is required is access to a computer that is connected to the Internet. Students interact with their instructor and classmates online. There are few campus visits required. Students read lectures, submit assignments, participate in classroom discussion, take quizzes, and do other course activities online.
Students interested in a bachelor's degree may continue their online education through DACC's partnership with Franklin University. Nine innovative baccalaureate majors are available through Franklin including: Accounting; Applied Management; Business Administration; Computer Science; Digital Communication; Health Care Management; Management; Management Information Services; and Public Safety Management.
