DEVM098 Basic College Mathematics (Fall, Spring, Summer) – 4.0 hours
Course Description: DEVM 098 Mathematics is a course with a hard copy book and an e-book. This course is the first of a two semester sequence of courses which provide a systematic review of mathematics with the utilization of programmed materials so that each student progresses at his/her own rate. Those students who are progressing satisfactorily, but who are unable to complete the course the first semester, will be required to take DEVM 099. Non- Degree Credit

DEVM 098 consists of the first 5 chapters of the book. If you completed the first 5 chapters of the book before the end of the semester you may work on chapter 6 to 10. If you completed chapters 1 to 10 during one semester, you will not have to enroll in DEVM 099. If you complete chapters 1 to 10 during the semester, you will place into DEVM 100. You may take the Compass test to see if you can test into MATH 101 and skip DEVM 100.

Course Description: DEVM 099 course has a hard copy book and an e-book. This course is the second of a two semester sequence of courses which provide a systematic review of mathematics with the utilization of programmed materials so that each student progresses at his/her own rate.

DEVM 099 consists of the second 5 chapters (chapters 6 – 10) of the book. Once you have completed the online assignments on XYZhomework, taken all 5 chapters tests, the unit test and book final over chapters 1 – 10 satisfactory, you will be placed into DEVM 100. You may take the Compass test to see if you can skip DEVM 100 and place into MATH 101. You will have to take the Compass test on campus in the Assessment Center.

DEVM100 Mathematics (Fall, Spring, Summer) – 4.0 hours
Course Description: This course provides a systematic review and basics of algebra with the utilization of programmed materials. It is designed for those students who have completed DEVM 098/099 satisfactorily but are not ready to go on to MATH 101. Placement is deemed necessary by DEVM 098/099 instructor or academic counselor.
