COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Keyboarding mastery, techniques, speed and accuracy development, introduction of letters, tables, reports, and memos.  Upon completion of the course a minimum speed of 30 words per minute with 6 errors or less on a 3-minute timing is required.  Class meets 4 hours per week.  Class is taught on microcomputers. Outside lab work is required.

COURSE OBJECTIVES / GOALS:
  • To operate the letter and number keys by touch.
  • To learn parts of computer to aid in efficient operation.
  • To format letters, reports, tables, and memoranda.
  • To build speed and accuracy on 3-minute timings.
  • To develop language arts skills.
