Computer & Network Services

The Computer and Network Services department is responsible for installing and maintaining all computer and network hardware and software on the DACC campus (with the sole exception of the management information system which is managed by Administrative Data Systems). This includes the following hardware:

• Over 300 office computers and over 500 student lab computers
• IBM AS/400 9406-270 educational midrange
• Mail servers and gateways (for employees and students)
• Student file servers
• Employee file servers
• Video server

We also manage:

• the campus network, with over 800 nodes in 27 closets in 12 buildings, utilizing Cisco switches
• the campus e-mail system with over 5000 student and employee users
• the campus personal and facility scheduling system
