3/20/2010 - The 2010 NJCAA National Basketball Tournament will be held
at Danville Area Community College March 16-20. For mor information

2009 Danville JUCO Jamboree
Schedule. This year's Jamboree will be on Sunday, October 4th
beginning at 10:00 a.m. CST and will feature 20 teams from Illinois and
Michigan.
8/28/2009 - The 20th annual Danville JUCO Jamboree will be held on
Sunday, October 4th at Danville High School and Danville Area Community
College. Over 15 teams from the Midwest have already committed to
attend including, Kankakee, Lake Land, Kennedy King, Illinois Central,
Lincoln, Danville, and several others.
4/29/2009 - JAGS sign Two - DACC Head Coach Mike Carpenter announced
the signing of two recruits. Josh Wright, a 6'5
Power Forward from North Chicago High School and Kyle Bradley, a 5'11
guard from Indian Creek High School in Trafalgar, Indiana signed
National Letters of Intent recently. Wright averaged 13
points and 12 rebounds for the 24-6 Regional and Sectional Championship
NCHS team, while Bradley averaged 24.5 points and 4.6 assists a
contest, and was named to the Indiana Top 60 team.
3/10/2009 - The NJCAA Division II National Basketball Tournament will
once again be played at Danville Area Community College this
year. The Tournament is March 18-21, 2009 and you can find more

3/4/2009 - The Danville Area Community College Men's Basketball team
began it's defense of their Region 24 Championship, hosting Spoon River
College in the opening round of the Region 24 tournament on Wednesday
night and defeated the Mudcats 117-67.
The Jaguars led by the score of 21-19 with just over 8 minutes
remaining in the first half, but went on a big run to close the half,
leading 55-32 at halftime.
DACC jumped on the Mudcats again to begin the second half, going on a
10-0 run in the first 3 minutes to lead 65-32. DACC shot a sizzling 70%
(28-40) from the field in the second half.
All 12 Danville players scored, and 6 of them were in double figures.
Leading the way was Tim Toler with 19 points and 8 rebounds, JT
Hatfield with a season high 12 points, Billy Hayes with 11 points and
10 assists, Justin Hightower and Austin Smith with 11 each and Q
Townsend chipped in with 10.
The Jaguars had another good night sharing the basketball with 39
assists and just 9 turnovers. DACC also scored 82 points in the
paint and the Jaguar bench scored 71 of the teams 117 points.
DACC now advances to the Quarter Finals vs. Illinois Central College on
Saturday, March 7th at 5:00 p.m. The game will be played at Rend
Lake College in Ina, Illinois. The Jaguars previously faced ICC
twice this season, losing 65-53 in January and winning 83-82 last week.
11/25/2008 - The Danville Area Community College Jaguars defeated
Lincoln Trail College 74-64.
The Jaguars started out slow to begin the game falling behind 9-3, but
went on a quick 17-0 run and never looked back.
The DACC defense held the Statesmen to just 22 points at halftime.
Danville had 3 players in double figures, including 18 from Kyle Smith,
14 from Teddrick Hardy and 11 points, 8 rebounds from Freshman Derwin
Gage.
The DACC bench came up big, outscoring Lincoln Trail 23-11 and the
Jaguars out rebounded LTC 38-32.
Danville is off until December 3rd when the play Wabash College JV at
HOME starting at 6:00 pm.
11/1/2008 - In a game that saw the lead change hands 5 times in
the final 6 minutes,The 15th ranked Danville Area Community College
Jaguars faltered in the final minutes at NJCAA Division I Lincoln Trail
College, losing by a final score of 83-70.
DACC led 66-65 with just over 5 minutes remaining, but a quick spurt by
Lincoln Trail proved too much to overcome. The Jaguars tried to
foul to stop the clock for the final 1:30, but the Statesman made 8
consecutive free throws to seal the victory.
DACC shot a dismal 19-31 from the Free throw line.
DACC was led by Sophomore guard Billy Hayes with 19 points and 5
assists. Freshman big man Tim Toler had 16 points and 10 rebounds in
his debut.
DACC will play their home opener on Saturday, November 8th at 3:00 p.m.
vs. Region 24 opponent Rend Lake College.
9/8/2008 - Tickets for the 3rd annual Men's Basketball 50/50 Raffle
went on sale today. Last year's winner received $1,250.
Tickets are
$25 each or 5 tickets for $100. The winning ticket will be drawn prior
to the Alumni Game on October 25th.
9/9/2008 - The 19th annual Danville JUCO Jamboree will be held Sunday,
October 5th at Danville High School and Danville Area Community
College beginning at 10:00 a.m. CST. More than 15 Junior College
teams have already committed
to
this event including: Danville, Kankakee, Kishwaukee, Glen Oaks,
Delphi, Lincoln, Illinois Central, Triton, Olive Harvey, Shawnee,

7/15/2008 - Congratulations to DACC Sophomore Point Guard Ronnie
Williams who has signed a National Letter of Intent to play with Iowa
Wesleyan College, an NAIA school located in Mount Pleasant, Iowa.
Williams was a redshirt Sophomore on the 2007-08 Jaguar Basketball team
and helped lead them to a 24-12 record and Final Four appearance in
2008. He is the 5th Sophomore from the 2008 team to sign a
scholarship, joining Mark Dunn, Eastern Washington (NCAA I), Marcus
Thomas, Loyola University (NCAA I), Sergey Struck, University of
Indianapolis (NCAA II), and Anthony Ingram, Brescia College (NAIA I).
5/21/2008 - Congratulations to DACC Sophomore Mark Dunn who signed a
National Letter of Intent with NCAA DI Eastern Washington
University. The 6'8, 270 pound Dunn averaged 5.5 points and 3.9
rebounds this season for the Jaguars.
4/28/2008 - The Jaguars announced the signings of two recruits who will
play for the DACC next season. Derwin Gage, a 6'3 guard from
Proviso
East High School in Maywood Illinois and Tim Toler, a 6'7 Power Forward
from Avon, Indiana. Gage led Proviso East this season with 14
points
and 7 rebounds per game. Toler averaged more than 20 points and 8
rebounds.
"These two young men will provide us more athleticism and scoring punch
next season. Both put up big numbers in high school and will be
expected to come in a provide instant help for next years team" Said
DACC Head Coach Mike Carpenter.
3/25/2008 - The 2007-08 Jaguars finished the season with a 4th place
finish in the NJCAA National Tournament and a final record of
24-12. This was the best record and first appearance in the
National Tournament for Danville since the 2001.
