9/18/09 – Normal, IL – The DACC cross-country teams continued to show improvement
at the Illinois Intercollegiate meet at Weibring Golf Course.  The men’s team placed 19th
out of 31 teams.  The Jaguars were once again lead by Blake McNeill who covered the
8-k in 26:46.  Doug Powers was next for the men’s team at 26:56.  Ivan Coronel was the
 third runner for DACC in 28:23 followed by Omar Caban in 29:01 and rounding out the
top 5 for Danville was Brad Anderson in 29:47.  In the women’s race Alyssa Krauss was
the top finisher for DACC finishing the 5-k in 21:29 and Andrea Martis was next for the
Lady Jaguars in 22:18

 

 

10/5/09Louisville, KY – The Jaguars were middle of the pack at the Greater Louisville
Classic.  The men’s team finished 18th out of 33 teams.  Blake McNeill ran a season best
26:30 to place 17th out of 331 runners.  Doug Powers was 61st with a time of  27:18. 
Omar Caban ran a 28:03 good enough for 120th and Ivan Coronel was 158th with a time of
28:36.  Brad Anderson was 225th overall with a 30:03.  The Jaguars run again on
October 10th at the University of Evansville Invitational.



9/17/09 - Charleston
, IL – The DACC men’s and women’s teams both got off to
great starts at the EIU Panther Open. It was the first chance for both teams to run
at their respective distances.  In the women’s 5K race Alyssa Krauss (
Guilford, IL)
lead the way for the Jaguars finishing in
21:33.  Andrea Martis (Westville, IL) was
the next Jaguar in 53rd place running a time of
22:32.  The men’s team ran well with
Blake McNeil (
Spring Lake, NC) leading the Jaguars with a time of 26:38, good for
20th place.  Doug Powers (
Cumberland, IL) was close behind in 26th place with a
time of 26:48.  Ivan Coronel and Omar Caban (
Mather, IL) were the third and fourth
runners for DACC running 28:06 and 28:21 respectively. Brad Anderson rounded
out the top for the Jaguars finishing in 69th place with a time of 30:02.  The Jaguars
return to action Friday September 18th at the Illinois Intercollegiates at Weibring Golf
Course on the campus of
